Is Illinois SB75 sexual harassment prevention training transferable between employers?
Said another way, for employees with more than one job, or who move between companies during the year, do they need to take the Illinois state mandatory sexual harassment prevention training with each employer?
Fortunately, we are told the training IS transferable.

The Illinois Department of Human Rights (IDHR) has issued definitive guidance on their FAQs page, linked here.
The IDHR has stated that employees do NOT need to take the training at each workplace where they work over the course of a year.
Employers can request that employees provide proof of completion of a sexual harassment prevention training at another employer, thereby transferring the sexual harassment prevention training between employers.
And of course, if the training was delivered by Illinois Required Training Solutions, each certificate has a unique code number that can be validated using our online certificate validator. Employers can be assured that the certificate was issued to the employee by name, on the specific date confirmed, and the training delivered was the course entitled as confirmed, to prove that a certificate from Illinois Required Training Solutions is legitimate.
The IDHR recommends that employees should request the certificate from the employer who provided the training to give to the new/other employer.
And of course, if the training was delivered by Illinois Required Training Solutions, students can download a copy of their certificate of completion from the Achievements tab of their My Dashboard control panel.

The IDHR makes it clear that it is not the responsibility of employees to confirm that their previous training is compliant with the training requirements.
If there is a question of compliance, the IDHR allows and recommends that employers require the employee to be trained again.
